Akiko Yanagisawa is a creative producer of music and arts, which has brought established and emerging Japanese musicians and artists to festivals and venues in over 35 countries. Akiko studied aesthetics and philosophy at Gakushuin University, Tokyo, and obtained an MA in Arts Management at the City, University of London where she studied orchestra management, arts policy and cross-cultural music management. She is enthusiastic about creating cross-cultural and interdisciplinary arts collaborations and has produced successful projects including three “Noh Reimagined” festivals, and Noh x French baroque project . Her passion is to connect the tradition with the creative energy of arts and culture of our time, through innovative genre-defying collaborations in order to continue asking the questions about who we are.
