Hiroko Miyake

Miyake majored in clarinet at the Osaka College of Music, studying with Tetsuo Ogawa and Honda Koichi. After graduating, she pursued a career as a music therapist. Her practice includes working with people with disabilities, elderly people and in local communities. Miyake’s research concerns how different people can create a collaborative space through music. 

Miyake organises the “Shiba-no-Ie Otoasobi Laboratory” and Otomusubi Music Club”, and is a member of “Senju Dajare Improvisers Orchestra” and “Senju Chindon” band.

She is an associate professor at Kunitachi College of Music.
